Our Story
I’m Marcus Tobolski. I started Brooklyn Buffalo Woodworks a decade ago. I sensed that our area lacked an outlet for handmade, solid wood furniture that is the perfect blend of beauty and functionality for your home. We put our years of knowledge and experience to use to do just that. We work with our customers to design and build solid wood furniture, decor and other unique items that will last for years to come.
Fortunately, I did not venture down this path of woodworking alone. With the strong support of my family, especially my wife, for always supporting my passion to have my own furniture business and for always being a helping hand when needed. I am grateful to my mom for allowing me to take over her garage in the early days and fully supporting my goals. Also, my father, who helps me every day as my shop assistant and who you will typically meet at the local farmer’s markets we support.
While we do not have a showroom to display are work, you can see a small sample of our work at 2 local markets. You can find us at the Venice Farmers Market every Saturday morning from 8 am to 1 pm and The Market at Lakewood Ranch every Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm, We showcase all of our handmade décor items and we are there to consult on any future projects you might have.

My wife and I had a bankette built in our kitchen, but then came the decision of what shape table we wanted to put in the space. We knew we wanted to have it made locally, so we contacted Marcus at Brooklyn Buffalo. We discussed the irregular shape, the type of wood that we were looking for and the colors. We reviewed some designs and today took possession of a beautiful, custom built table that captures the shape of the bankette and the straight side to accommodate a bench that Marcus is also building for us.
